AFI Recognises quality results with 2010 awards recipients

We would like to congratulate all the winners and nominees at this year’s AFI Awards. We had the pleasure of working with some wonderful films this year and some very creative storytellers. We wanted to congratulate Greig Fraser for winning the best “Best Cinematography” in a feature film for “Bright Star”.  Efilm’s senior colourist Olivier Fontenay had the pleasure of working with Greig on Bright star along with the film’s director Jane Campion to complete the film’s grade and creative post. Efilm has since completed the same 4K Digital Intermediate process on Peter Weir’s “The Way Back” which is scheduled for a 2011 North American and local release.

Film makers choose Efilm and Deluxe to tell their stories

EFILM and Deluxe are very proud to have provided Digital Intermediate & Creative Grading services for 6 of the 7 nominees for Best Cinematography at the 2010 IF and AFI Awards. STEPHEN DOUGLAS JOINS POSTMODERN & EFILM AUSTRALIA

Leading visual effects and design company "Postmodern" and Australia's most credited feature facility "EFILM" today announced that Stephen Douglas is to join their team as Executive Producer.

Douglas' appointment comes off the back of nine successful years in New Zealand, and at a time when Postmodern and EFILM are expanding after being acquired by award-winning international VFX powerhouse, Hollywood and Vancouver based CIS Visual Effects Group.

"Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to both the local and international markets. He is a creative at heart and is passionate about his work so I am sure he will add value to any production he is involved with," says Anthos Simon General Manager of Creative Services.

Screening at MIFF this Saturday!!

Franswa Sharl, a short film directed by Hannah Hilliard and produced by Linda Micsko, has been taking out a host of short film awards around the globe since it’s completion early this year.

Based on a true story, Franswa Sharl is about twelve year old Greg who has inherited his father’s competitive streak. On a family holiday to Fiji they have different ideas about where Greg should focus his talents. When his creative pursuits fail to amuse his father, Greg sets out to win him back.
