AFI Recognises quality results with 2010 awards recipients
We would like to congratulate all the winners and nominees at this year’s AFI Awards. We had the pleasure of working with some wonderful films this year and some very creative storytellers. We wanted to congratulate Greig Fraser for winning the best “Best Cinematography” in a feature film for “Bright Star”. Efilm’s senior colourist Olivier Fontenay had the pleasure of working with Greig on Bright star along with the film’s director Jane Campion to complete the film’s grade and creative post. Efilm has since completed the same 4K Digital Intermediate process on Peter Weir’s “The Way Back” which is scheduled for a 2011 North American and local release.
We also wanted to congratulate David Michod for “Animal Kingdom” which was also finished at Efilm in Sydney, which collected 10 AFI awards, including Best Film and Best Direction. Our VFX company Post Modern picked up Best Visual Effects for their work on “Daybreakers” under the very watchful eye of our VFX supervisor James Rogers. A big well done to James and his team!
Not to be outdone our sound facility “Stage One” was the mixing facility of choice for the film makers for “Tomorrow When the War Began” which collected the “Best Sound”.
We are very proud to have been associated with these productions in 2010, as well as other upcoming features including “Mad Bastards” which has been accepted into the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
Efilm, Deluxe Australia, Stage One, Post Modern and MRPPS would like to wish one and all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to working with you in 2011.
