Screening at MIFF this Saturday!!
Franswa Sharl, a short film directed by Hannah Hilliard and produced by Linda Micsko, has been taking out a host of short film awards around the globe since it’s completion early this year.
Based on a true story, Franswa Sharl is about twelve year old Greg who has inherited his father’s competitive streak. On a family holiday to Fiji they have different ideas about where Greg should focus his talents. When his creative pursuits fail to amuse his father, Greg sets out to win him back.
The film makers wanted the highest post production values on their film and approached EFILM’s general manger (Anthos Simon) to seek sponsorship. Anthos read the script and loved the story. “We read the script and couldn’t stop laughing” said Anthos. From that moment on we knew we had to help out Linda & Hannah as much as possible to get their story on screen. EFILM completed all the dailies, DI, creative post, including the grade, sound mix and final masters to 35mm film & HD.

Winning the Crystal Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival in February, Franswa Sharl has been screened at festivals around the world and is enjoying immense success.
